Less than 24 hours to go and the beach is crowded. I’ve never seen so many people driving around for the Long Beach July 4th, 2018 events here in Long Beach, downtown Long Beach, Belmont Shore and Naples.
Are you ready for the 4th of July 2018????
This great holiday is all about celebrating what it means to call America home. So put down the work. Step away from your computer. It’s time to push the pause button.
Just sit back, relax and soak in this time and food with your family and friends.
Long Beach Fireworks 2018 List of Locations
Table of Contents
Fireworks in Long Beach are illegal so watching them at the various locations below is the best way to enjoy Independence Day.
July 3rd Events
Our first event of the celebration is actually tonight, July 3rd, over at the Alamitos Bay Marina area of the Boathouse on the Bay, Malarkays and Ballast Point Brewery//.it is called “Big Bang on the Bay“. This is an annual event with vintage aircraft flyovers, skydivers, sailing regatta, music and more. The event starts at 5:30 and goes until 9:30 pm at 190 Marina Drive in Long Beach.
- Boathouse on the Bay is having a family style dinner event from 6 pm to 8 pm. Block Party Seating $50/person (Kids 10 & Under $30) Visit childrentoday.org for block party tickets!
- Where is Boathouse on the Bay? 190 Marina Drive
Map of Big Bang on the Bay July 3rd 2018
For local residents, some of the best places to view Big Bang on the Bay is at the end of the Peninsula neighborhood on Ocean Blvd. At the end of the street is Alamitos Park and you can watch from there.
- Go to Bay Shore and relax on the sand of the bay and watch the fireworks show over Naples Island.
- You could go to the Marine area over by Joe’s Crab Shack in Long Beach to view firework show.
- Or the Long Beach Yacht Club area at the end of Appian Way in Naples.
If you live in Seal Beach or want to view the fireworks from there, I would suggest the beach near the Getty around 1st street. I’m just going to take a walk down Ocean Blvd toward Bay Shore….that’s about a mile. If I walk to the end of Ocean, that’s 2 miles one way yikes.
There is a cool community in Seal Beach called River Beach Townhomes on the jetty with a little water view and probably a great viewing location for the residents there. One of the benefits of living in River Beach is you get to watch the firework every year from the backyard or your balcony…just sayin’

What do local residents to watch the Queen Mary Fireworks?
We go to the beach, of course. It’s free. Residents from Long Beach neighborhoods like Belmont Shore, Belmont Park, Belmont Heights, Buff Park and Downtown Long Beach all head to the sand. Around 8:45 pm or so.
- Even though the Long Beach Fire Department wants you to know fireworks are illegal, I’ve seen people in past years with their own on the beach. I’m sure the police will be there.
