The buzz is in the air here in Long Beach, California. I expect the city from downtown Long Beach to Belmont shore to be packed with people celebrating July 4th, 2019 events.

This great holiday is all about celebrating what it means to call America home. So put down the work. Step away from your computer, tablet, and cell phone. It’s time to push the pause button. This year July 4th, 2019 falls on Thursday.
Just sit back, relax and soak in this time and food with your family and friends. Meet new people and enjoy this time in your life today.
Long Beach Fireworks 2019 List of Locations
Fireworks in Long Beach are illegal so watching them at the various locations below is the best way to enjoy Independence Day.
July 3rd 2019 Events to Enjoy
Our first event of the celebration of our nation in Long Beach is on July 3rd, 2019.
The best seats in the house or city would be in the Alamitos Bay. You can view fireworks from the beach on off of Bayshore, The Peninsula neighborhood, Naples, Boathouse on the Bay, Malarkays and Ballast Point Brewery.
This annual event is called “Big Bang on the Bay“. This is an annual event usually has vintage aircraft flyovers, skydivers, sailing regatta, music and more. The event starts at 5:30 and goes until 9:30 pm at 190 Marina Drive in Long Beach.
Boathouse on the Bay is having a family-style dinner event from 6 pm to 8 pm. Block Party Seating $50/person (Kids 10 & Under $30)

For local residents, some of the best places to view Big Bang on the Bay is at the end of the Peninsula neighborhood on Ocean Blvd. At the end of the street is Alamitos Park and you can watch from there.
Go to Bay Shore and relax on the sand of the bay and watch the fireworks show over Naples Island.
You could go to the Marine area over by Whole Foods but in the Marina to view the firework show.
Or the Long Beach Yacht Club area at the end of Appian Way in Naples.
If you live in Seal Beach or want to view the fireworks from there, I would suggest the beach near the Jetty around 1st street. I’m just going to take a walk down Ocean Blvd toward Bay Shore….that’s about a mile. If I walk to the end of Ocean, that’s 2 miles one way yikes.
[callout]There is a cool community in Seal Beach called River Beach Townhomes on the jetty with a little water view and probably a great viewing location for the residents there.
One of the benefits of living in River Beach is you get to watch the firework every year from the backyard or your balcony…just sayin'[/callout]
Long Beach July 4th 2019 Events
1.) Queen Mary Spectacular Events with live music and actives for everyone to enjoy. Their main activities start at 2 pm and the firework show starts at about 9 pm. 1126 Queens Highway, Long Beach. For Queen Mary tickets, go to www.QueenMary.com
2.) You could view the Queen Mary Fireworks show by taking a Harbor Breeze Cruise at 7:30 pm on July 4th 2019 at 100 Aquarium Way, Dock #2 in Long Beach. They will be cruising the harbor before the big firework show…so basically you have a front-row seat on the water…that would be cool. I just took a boat ride on Harbor Breeze. Call them 562-983-6880.
3.) Justin Rudd’s 4th of July Kids Bike Parade – The Great American 4th of July bike parade will be at 10 a.m. All ages bike parade. All events take place at 1 Granada Ave., Long Beach, CA 90803.
9:40 am, there is a patriotic speech contest for kids

4.) July 4th, 2019 Late Night BBQ at Aquarium of the Pacific: this is the unique late-night Long Beach Aquarium access to view the waterfront firework show of the Queen Mary. You can get your tickets online to catch the fun, which begins at 5 p.m. July 4 at the aquarium, 100 Aquarium Way. http://www.aquariumofpacific.org/ or call them at 562-590-3100
5.) Red, White & Boom Party at The Reef Restaurant at 880 South Harbor Scenic Drive in Long Beach. Call 562-435-8013. Cost: Adults $48 | Children $24. Tickets for The Reef.
6.) The Port of Los Angeles sponsors the 70th Annual John Olguin July 4th Fireworks Spectacular at Cabrillo Beach,
3720 Stephen M. White Drive in San Pedro. July 4th, 2019 starting at 12 p.m.
7.) July 4th Pier Pressure Long Beach Fireworks Cruise at 1046 Queens Hwy, Long Beach, CA 90802-6329; Starts at 6:30 pm. Tickets are needed.
8.) 114th Huntington Beach 4th of July Parade – it starts at 10 am on Wednesday morning until about 12 pm. Go to Pacific Coast Highway at Main Street….which is at the Huntington Beach Pier.
9.) Red, White, and Brew – A Country Music Tribute for July 3rd, 2019 from 8 pm to 11 pm. at Cirivellos Sports Bar, 4115 N Viking Way in Long Beach. Tickets
10.) Rock the 4th in Long Beach 2019 at Marina Vista Park at 5355 E Eliot Street near the Colorado Lagoon in Alamitos Heights area. 90803. Tickets.

Beach Cities Celebrating July 4th 2019 including Parades, Runs, Pancakes
Redondo Beach has a celebration at the Shade Hotel from 5 pm to 10 pm. It’s called Red, White, and Boom. The Shade Hotel is located at 655 N. Harbor Drive, Redondo Beach. Go here for more information and tickets.
Huntington Beach is having their 4th of July Parade. Pacific Coast Highway will be closed from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm. An All-day party in Surf City USA. The parade starts at Pacific Coast Highway and Main Street. Free to spectators. There are bleacher seats available. For details, visit http://www.hb4thofjuly.org/ Where to park? One year, I parked on in the neighborhood off of Atlanta and Beach Blvd.
There is a Surf City Run from 6 am to 9 am at Worthy Park, 17th Street and Main Street in Huntington Beach
Pancake Breakfast at Lake Park at 7 am at 1000 Main Street in Huntington Beach
Independence Day on the Back Bay in Newport Beach. At 1131 Back Bay Drive. This event starts at 2 pm. And has a concert at the Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina.
Mariners Park Independence Day Parade & Celebration at 1300 Irvine Ave, Newport Beach starting at 10:30 am
- Newport Peninsula Bike Parade & Festival on July 4th, 2019. Carnival atmosphere with great food and fun things to do. Bike parade starts at 9 am at Balboa Boulevard to Channel Place Park. Festival is from 9:30 am to 11 am
Dana Point: 4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza 2019 at Doheny Beach. Fireworks start at 8:45 pm. Doheny State Beach is located at 25300 Dana Point Harbor, Dana Point, CA.
Laguna Beach: 4th of July Fireworks at 9:00 pm at Heisler Park, 375 Cliff Drive, Laguna Beach.
Seal Beach: July 4th Fireworks 2019: Old Ranch Country Club. 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. Old Ranch Country Club, 3901 Lampson Ave., Seal Beach, CA

How Local Long Beach residents to watch the Queen Mary Fireworks for Free
We go to the beach, of course. It’s free. Residents from Long Beach neighborhoods like Belmont Shore, Belmont Park, Belmont Heights, Bluff Park, Peninsula, and Downtown Long Beach all head to the sand. Around 8:45 pm or so. The firework show starts at 9:00 pm.
Even though the Long Beach Fire Department wants you to know fireworks are illegal, I’ve seen people in past years with their own on the beach.
I’m sure the police will be there….for your information.Bring a towel or chair to sit on the sand
Bring your cell phone for some awesome picture taking
And bring some water or something like that to drink.
Pet Safety for Long Beach Fireworks
Give them a safe place to hide inside
Keep your pets secured inside your home
Use the TV or music during the fireworks time inside the home to mask the noise
