If you are planning to celebrate the end of 2025 in our beautiful waterfront city, I have put together this helpful guide of the best events happening on December 31st, 2025. This event is usually 21 and over and offers VIP upgrades. It always sells out early, so I suggest getting tickets ahead of time.

2. Downtown Waterfront Fireworks at Midnight (Free)

Every year, thousands gather along the waterfront to watch the fireworks that launch from the Queen Mary area. It’s a free event and great for families. Bring jackets, since the ocean breeze can be chilly. Fireworks start right at midnight.

3. Aquarium of the Pacific – NYE “Night Dive”

The Aquarium puts on a special adult-only Night Dive event on New Year’s Eve. There’s live music, DJs, art, food, and time to explore the exhibits after hours. It’s fun, unique, and always popular.

4. Harbor Breeze New Year’s Eve Cruise

If you want to celebrate on the water, the Harbor Breeze cruise is a classic Long Beach experience. Most cruises run from around 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. and include a DJ, dancing, drinks, and great views of fireworks from the harbor.

Tips for Enjoying 2025 New Years Eve in Long Beach

After living here for so many years, I’ve learned a few things that can make your night go much smoother.

✔️ Parking & Transportation

Parking fills up quickly downtown. I always suggest using Uber or Lyft, especially for Shoreline Village, the Queen Mary, and the Aquarium.

✔️ Dress for the Weather

It gets cold along the water, especially on cruises and rooftops. Bring a warm jacket and comfortable shoes.

✔️ Book Early

Cruises, rooftop events, and Queen Mary VIP packages sell out fast. Restaurants also fill up by mid-December.

✔️ Arrive Early

Most people start arriving between 6–7:30 p.m. If you’re attending a free event, getting there earlier helps you find a good spot.

Jay’s Secret Long Beach NYE 2025 Fireworks Locations

I like going to the beach at 8:45 pm to watch the fireworks show for FREE. Look towards the Queen Mary and Downtown Long Beach. You have great views from The Peninsula, Belmont Shore, Bluff Park, and Alamitos Beach neighborhoods.

Now, you can also look southward towards Seal Beach from Long Beach and see fireworks shows going off all over Southern California to celebrate ringing in the New Year 2025.
