Fun Long Beach Beach Events for the 4th of July
Long Beach Kids July 4th Bike Parade starts in Belmont Shore at Granada and the bike path. My guess it is the bike path on the beach. Registration starts at 9:15 am and the parade kicks off at 10 am. For more details go to http://justinrudd.com/bikeparade.html
Long Beach 4th of July 2012 Events for Fireworks and Dining
Fireworks on Tuesday July 3rd Alamitos Bay Yacht Club
Long Beach Firefighters Firework Show at the Alamitos Bay Yacht Club. The fireworks will be launched over the water in the Alamitos Bay. There will be music and food for all. This event starts on JULY 3rd, 2012 at 4 pm….the Alamitos Bay Yacht Club is located at 7201 East Ocean Boulevard, Long Beach. The dinner is sold out.
Places to watch the show on July 3rd:
The beach side of the Peninsula neighborhood in Long Beach off of Ocean Blvd. The Peninsula area is located south of Bay Shore on Ocean Blvd. There are a couple vantage points for you to watch the show…if you drive down Ocean Blvd toward the yacht club and park. Go to the beach side of the walk or bike to the park next to it to watch or go to Alamitos Bay Landing (at the end of Marina Drive) where restaurants like McKenna’s, Busters or Khoury‘s to view the event. Or you could go to the park at the end of Naples Plaza off of 2nd Street, or you could find a place to watch some where around the Marina off Marina Drive.
To be a little more creative you could go to Seal Beach and park on 1st Street. Walk or bike down to the sand and watch the show. Bring a beach chair and a light jacket.
Fourth of July Events on Wednesday
The Long Beach Fuego Hotel next to The Queen Mary is having an Independence Day Barbeque from 6 pm to 9 pm. Then, you can watch the Queen Mary firework show at 9 pm. The Fuego Hotel is located at 700 Queensway Drive in Long Beach CA. 562-481-3910.
The Queen Mary is have a big Fourth of July 2012 event with lots entertainment from 11 am to 7 pm; from strolling perfumers to bands. The fireworks show starts at 9pm. Long Beach’s Aquarium of the Pacific is having their own 4th of July celebration and barbeque at 320 Golden Shore, Long Beach, Call 562-590-3100 or go to

The Rose Bowl in Pasadena has a large firework display with music and food vendors. The staudium opens at 6:30 pm, opening ceremonies start at 7pm
