Belmont Shore is a neighborhood in Long Beach and we have lots of activities every year: Christmas Parade, Sidewalk Sales, Stroll and Savor, Kids Art walk and many other events. This Sunday, September 11th, 2016, is the famous Belmont Shore Car Show 2016 with over 700 classic cars will be on display for you to view and take photos with. Types of automobiles will include muscle cars, hot rods, sports cars, low riders, roadsters, sedans and more.
Residents love these events.
“This is a free Long Beach, California community event. Everyone is welcome to attend. The Belmont Shore Car Show event draws thousands of spectators….so mark your calendars; time is 9 am to 3 pm.”
The community event is located on 2nd Street between Livingston Drive and Bay Shore. The entire street is blocked off.
Remembrance of 9/11 at Belmont Shore Car Show 2016
There will be a ceremony in front of Fire Station 8 in remembrance of the 9/11 tragedy that effected our country. It will start at 9 am and have a moment of silence at 9:11 am. The mayor of Long Beach will be in attendance.
Where to Park for Belmont Shore Car Show 2016
I’d suggest the beach parking lots along Ocean Blvd near the sand and Marine Stadium lot off of Appian Way. Those would be your best bets.
You might find parking in the neighborhoods of Belmont Heights, Naples or perhaps near Whole Food and then have Uber or Lyft drive you into the area…or you can walk or bike to the event.
Jay’s Tip: I always go early on Sunday morning about 8 or 8:30 am to walk around the car show. There is less people at that time. The Belmont Shore car show attendance is expected to be over 40,000 people.

Where the Cars Line Up Prior to the Show?
They live upon Livingston to Termino to Ocean Blvd at about 6 am on Sunday Morning. Then, the organizers start bringing the cars on the street to sort them by make.

How to Maneuver Out of Belmont Shore During the Event
So if you live in Belmont Shore, you can get out of the neighborhood by using Ocean Blvd to Livingston and going behind into Belmont Park. Before 9 am you can take Ocean Blvd to Bay Shore and get out of the neighborhood as well. It is a little tricky. Bay Shore will be open to getting in and out of the area.

Cost to Enter your car into the Belmont Shore Car Show 2016
Vendor space is no longer available but you can register your car by visiting: www.baycityrodders.com, email: [email protected] or call Bill at 562-429-2188.
The cost to enter is $30 for per-registration, $35 at the show, and $80 to be a “VIP Power Parker”. “Power Parkers” allow you entrance to the show before all other entries.
