Over the years, I have gone out many times to different events around southern California. Battling traffic. Lines of people and so on.
Nowadays, I just leave the house about 11:45 pm and walk out on the sand or go to the Belmont Pier in Long Beach. The Queen Mary has a firework show at midnight. Thousands of people make this famous walk to the beach or pier from neighborhoods near bye. There are a couple of events in Newport Beach in the table below.

NYE Party called Ring in 2020 SIP Lounge – this event is in a hotel in downtown Long Beach. New Year’s Eve party at the Sip Lounge located at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Long Beach. Cost: $21.77. Website for them.
Long Beach Bar Crawl NYE – You start at “The Harbour” Bar hopping on New Year’s Eve. Hopefully, you are walking and not crawling. That could be rough on the knees. Cost: $21.79. Tickets.
Trademark Brewing is having an event from 4:00 pm to 10 pm on December 31st, 2019. Kind of a Pre-Party. Its free. They are located at 233 East Anaheim Street, Long Beach, CA 90813. Have a great beer and enjoy the pre-party. (562) 308-7722.
21 + New Year’s Party, Fireworks Dinner Cruise – While cruising through the beautiful Long Beach Harbor, enjoy an OPEN BAR ALL NIGHT, appetizers, DJ & dancing, and a fireworks show. You will be on the VIP yacht. Cost: $150 to $1,500. Harbor Breeze Cruises Tickets.
The Biggest Downtown Long Beach New Year’s Eve Party – Rockin New Year’s Eve Party at the Sevilla Nightclub in Downtown. Cost: $30.00. Tickets and more details at Event Brite.

Roaring 20’s New Year’s Eve at L’Opera Italian Restaurant – Ring in the new year like they did in the 1920’s but with the L’Opera Family. Cost: $50.00. Tickets for the event.
NYE Brunch & Cocktail Cruise – Hornblower Cruise is having a New Year’s Eve Cruise featuring delicious gourmet food, fun entertainment and the best view possible of the legendary Long Beach Queen Mary fireworks show. Cost is $122.85 to $136.50. Tickets.
New Year’s Eve at Hotel Maya – I’ve been to a couple of parties and the Maya Hotel. Great location with a view of the city. Fuego at Hotel Maya rings in 2020 with two delicious five-course dinners and party packages on Tuesday, December 31 from 5-8 p.m. and 9 p.m. Guests will also enjoy a spectacular canopy of fireworks from the Queen Mary at midnight.
