I have always like the Alamitos Heights neighborhood because it has tree-lined streets and is close to shopping popular grocery stores like Ralphs, Gelson’s, Whole Foods and Trader Joes. Plus, if you want some yogurt, there is a Yogurtland close bye. When I was in college at Cal State Long Beach in 1983 to 1985, one of my college fraternity members lived on Manila Avenue in Alamitos Heights.
