Single story homes are great for people with knee problems. Going up and down stairs can be a little heck it over time. My brother had a townhome in Orange county for over 20 years and they had to walk up and down the stairs so much they couldn’t wait until they bought a single story home.
They were so relived. Their single family home is twice the size of their townhome and they love living on a single level now. What a relief!
One of my clients was living in a beautiful tri-level home in Sea Cliff on the Greens in Huntington Beach. They loved it there until the stairs took a toll one of their knees. They moved to a single story home and love it.

The demand for single level homes in Long Beach, Seal Beach and Huntington Beach is high but most new home builders don’t build them anymore because they can make more money by building a second story and adding square feet unto the house.
Occasionally, I will see a new home builder build one model that is a single story…
Most single story homes tend to be in older neighborhoods. Homes that were built in the 1900’s to the 1960’s is the usual time frame of the one level home. Unless you are searching for a luxury home market or for southern California mansions, then you will find some awesome looking single story homes with lots of land.

While single story homes in Long Beach and Orange County are awesome, finding them online is tough for a lot of home buyers. Our real estate property search systems are too general and don’t have search features for them. So, I contacted my programming staff and they fixed that.
